Chris Kemp, PhD
Chris Kemp, PhD, is the Executive Director and Global Lead of Operational Strategy & Planning in Infectious Disease, Critical Care, Inflammation & General Medicine. Dr. Kemp has 25 years of experience working in clinical development and over 15 years of experience in project management, operational strategy and planning and business development.
Following completion of his PhD and post-doctoral research positions in the area of hypertension and vascular biology, Dr. Kemp started his career as a CRA for AstraZeneca, and after 2 years moved into the project management function where he held project management and key leadership roles in the CRO sector for PPD, Covance and Quintiles before rejoining Covance (now Fortrea) in August 2016 as a Senior Director within Global Project Delivery.
In his current role, Dr. Kemp leads the global team to focus on developing the optimal delivery strategies for studies within the above-mentioned indications, as well as providing additional strategic support to the delivery teams and clients as needed.
Dr. Kemp lives in the UK and outside of work enjoys spending time with friends, family, watching his two boys (Thomas, 21 & Alex, 19) with their sporting activities, whilst trying to fit in his own training needed to compete in Ironman triathlons.
